St Ethelwold’s House has ideal facilities for day group retreats, organisational development days, small seminars and other functions. Individual rooms can be hired for a day or part of a day. At weekends the whole of the ground floor and the garden can be hired for special events, such as family celebrations and small wedding celebrations.

There are small kitchen facilities.

The Garden Room

An elegant and spacious room used either for small meetings or can be set up lecture style for up to 25 participants.  There is direct access to the garden and the room has its own tea and coffee-making facilities.

The Hearth

Ideal for conference type meetings around a table or it can be used as a dining area in conjunction with meetings in the Garden Room.  The Hearth has a wood burning stove (which can be lit for an extra fee) and an adjacent small kitchen.

Dorothea’s Room

An ideal meeting room for small groups.

The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary can be hired by groups for contemplative practices such as meditation, yoga classes and Pilates It is also ideal for family ‘sacred’ times such as the blessing of a wedding, a child naming service or a memorial service.
