St Eths Tea Garden

Do join us for our next Tea Garden. We are delighted to be welcoming more people who use wheelchairs and buggies since the work done to make an accessible path from the side gate right down into the garden. There is a mesh under the gravel to make access so much easier. Funds were raised towards this at our Tea Garden events, big thanks to all volunteers and donors!

Summer Tea Gardens

Summer Tea Garden

We had our last Tea Garden for the season on Tuesday 30th August, a lovely afternoon to round off a very successful series.

One of our volunteers writes:

How we managed to be SO busy and still make the atmosphere so relaxed and  welcoming is a bit of a mystery – but a very very pleasant one!It all comes down to the warmth and enthusiasm, incredibly hard work and boundless good-humour of our volunteers. Our profits of £167 go to support the Garden Fund towards new planting which will happen before the end of October in the area to the right at the bottom of the garden by the river. This time at the Tea Garden we were able to welcome so many newcomers to Abingdon and the St Eths Community too – probably the most important part of our work. Offering them such a lovely afternoon and the chance to meet others in the glorious gardens is a real privilege. It was lovely havingthe music from Dani, Hamid and Emma as well to make an even more festive atmosphere
